Learning and Growing in Christ

There is something intangible that makes up the ambiance of a school classroom. Whether it’s that distinct aroma of art supplies wafting through the air or the colorful display of student workmanship hanging on the walls – the sound of childhood excitement and singing or the feeling of mystery and wonder. What ever it is, all these things all bubble up from our goal to enable each one of our “Ambassadors” to achieve their potential in all areas of study, while blossoming in the subjects where their God given talents shine brightest.

God's Word guides us

Teacher reading the bible

Each day we strive to create a Christ-centered and loving, but challenging learning environment.

Above all, scripture reading and prayer is the conversation that guides each day as we work side-by-side in God’s Kingdom.

Small student to teacher/instructor ratios are also one of the keys to our success. Currently at ACS, our largest class size is only 14 students which allows our teachers, instructors and volunteers to target and build up the unique gifts of each pupil, offering them support and direction as they take up their task of learning the broad and balanced curriculum together.

At ACS, we believe that every child is a gift from God with unique talents and abilities. Our Senior Kindergarten provides a nurturing and supportive environment where young learners can grow and develop. Our experienced teachers use a combination of fun memorization and play-based learning to help children develop a love of learning and prepare them for success in future grades.

Grades 1-4

In grades 1-4, our students continue to develop their academic skills while also growing in their knowledge of the world around them and how Jesus is King over all. Our teachers provide a challenging and engaging curriculum that helps students achieve their full potential. Activities, including sports, music, and art, help students explore their interests and develop new skills.

Grades 5-8

Children in the upper grades receive a Christ-centered education that prepares them for success in high school and beyond. Our dedicated teachers provide a supportive and challenging learning environment that helps students grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.

HEAD, HEART, AND HANDS

God entrusts everyone he makes with unique talents. ACS teaches children to master their God given gifts to the best of their ability.

Students will have an understanding of how to use their gifts to reflect Christ’s character as Ambassadors in his kingdom. As image bearers of King Jesus, they will use their head, heart and hands to bear the fruit of Christ’s character — living as prophets, priests, and kings.

Students will be deeply and wholly engaged as Ambassadors of King Jesus:

  • Humbly confessing the truth of God, magnifying Lordship as Prophets with our MINDS

  • Mercifully loving others, reflecting God’s beauty as Priests with our HEARTS

  • Enacting justice as stewards, wisely caring for God’s creation as Kings with our HANDS
